Birth Your Online Presence:
Online Marketing That Builds Birth and Breastfeeding Practices

Social media marketing may be free, but your time isn’t. With Facebook views on the decline and increasing competition for your audience’s attention, how can you reach new families and build your client base without spending your day online?

In this four-hour workshop, you’ll go beyond learning how to use social media. You’ll get the tools you need to be strategic online, with clear goals, plans, and action steps designed to build your practice and your online network.

You’ll leave this session with everything you need to create and execute a digital marketing plan for your birth or breastfeeding business, including:

  • Strategies for elevating your brand despite increasing competition for the attention of growing families
  • Hands-on tools for taking your message visual
  • Assessing your online home base
  • Finding the social media platforms that are right for your audience
  • Learning the tools that will save you time online
  • Measuring what works and adjusting as needed

The workshop will be individually tailored to the needs of the group. (Once you register, you’ll be given a quick online tool to help us learn more about you and your needs.)

This session is designed for birth and breastfeeding pros and volunteers already using some social media and are ready to move to the next step. This is not a social media 101 session. This session presumes that you are familiar with the basic use of at least one platform (like Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest) and have at least one social media account.  If you would like to attend this session but are unfamiliar with social media, please contact me about pre-sessions you can complete to prepare for the workshop.

This workshop will be led by Jeanette McCulloch, Principal, BirthSwell.

Jeanette McCulloch has spent more than two decades using communications as tool for making social change. She provides social media consulting to statewide, national, and international birth and breastfeeding organizations and has supported winning legislation and policy change that improves birth and breastfeeding outcomes for families. She also helps birth and breastfeeding businesses spread evidence-based information and build their practice.

ACNM and MEAC credits applied for. ACNM and MEAC credits typically accepted by DONA, Lamaze, and other certifying organizations.
