How To Make Your WordPress Page Password Protected

There’s lots of reasons you might want to have a password protected page. These include:
- A class or training where you’d like to provide additional materials online, but not available to anyone that visits your site
- You’d like to create a sense of added value for participants in a program or class
- You have special links for families you serve that you don’t want to make public
- If you use a self-hosted wordpress site, making a page protected is very simple.
All the settings you’ll need are in the upper right “publish” box.
First, change the visibility from “public” to “password protected.”
Next, add a password of your choosing in the password box.
Now, you can share the link and password with your students, clients, or others.
